So I was rummaging around in the recently open-sourced images on Getty, and I came across some lovely gems from 16th-century Ethiopia. One is an image inserted after the Gospel of Mark, the other a representation of the Madonna and Child, flanked by Michael and Gabriel. They’re beautiful pieces that I sort of stumbled across and thought I’d share. :)
