    But…the connection of beads from India, Egypt and possibly as far as China in Viking graves have all been documented by people who are experts in the field:

    We can have a whole discussion about this, now that I know what we’re actually talking about!

    By the way, the above source is great, since it’s an interdisciplinary approach to discovering and tracing the origins and destinations, as well as the purpose of beads, cabochon gems, and other forms of trade good, barter, and currency from throughout history. It’s a global and cross-cultural perspective, and much more interesting than it first appears.
